Special Architectural Effects Finishes

Marmorino in Italian, is a traditional Italian wall plaster that is now famous worldwide for its remarkable aesthetic value. It consists of an eco-friendly lime-based finish, that can be applied both on exterior and interior surfaces. Furthermore, it can give result to different decorative effects: from that of polished marble with fresco painted veins to that of natural stone, up to the most common, the monochrome one with light-dark shades.

Travertine (a process of rapid precipitation of calcium carbonate) is a form of terrestrial deposited around mineral springs, especially hot springs. It often has a fibrous or concentric appearance and exists in white, tan, cream-coloured and even rusty varieties. It is commonly used in Italy and elsewhere as a building material.

Cement Plaster Effects

Cement plaster effect is the application of a mortar mix of sand and cement, (optionally lime) and water to brick, concrete, stone or mud brick surfaces. It is often textured, coloured or painted after application. It is can be used both exterior and interior wall. Depending on the ‘look’ required, rendering can be fine or coarse, textured or smooth, natural or coloured, pigmented or painted.

Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish consisting of plaster mixed with marble dust, applied multiple layers, which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. Venetian plaster is especially useful on surfaces where marble panels could not be installed easily, and on surfaces that would be too expensive to have carved from real Marbel such as columns, corbels, and curved walls. They can be tinted or coloured using natural ir synthetic colorants.

Earthen plaster is a blend of clay, lime hydrate and fine aggregate. Other common additives include pigments, lime and casein. Earthen plaster is usually applied to masonry interiors or exteriors as a wall finish. It provides protection to the structural and insulating building components as well as texture and color. Earthen plaster gives thickness to the finishes which makes stencils application possible.

Metallic / pearlescent plaster creates a durable natural looking finish, adding depth and texture to any surface. The finished result is a striking luminous shine and makes any surface stand out, wide selection of colours and shades from copper, bronze, silver, gold and pearl.

Copper goes through a natural oxidation process that forms a unique protective patina on the metal. The surface of the metal undergoes a series of color changes: from iridescent/salmon pinks to oranges and reds interspersed with brassy yellows, blues, greens and purples. As the oxide thickens, these colors are replaced by russet and chocolate browns, dull slate grays or blacks, and finally to a light-green or blue-green. Mimicking this process by chemically induced agents to achieve instantaneous result, we are able to give the user a natural feel of the visual experiences.
